KFC has announced a new Greater Manchester store will be opening its doors next week. It will be the first outlet for the town in the Trafford borough.
Fried chicken fans in Greater Manchester will now be able to get their fix as the fast-food brand opens its first restaurant in Sale on Monday. With 44 seats, the restaurant features a large space for customers to sit and tuck into their KFC favourites, with delivery also available.
Tom Reid, Senior Acquisition Manager at KFC UK & Ireland, commented: “We know Greater Manchester is home to a loyal fanbase of KFC lovers, so we’re thrilled to be growing our footprint here by bringing our Finger Lickin’ chicken to Sale.
"We can’t wait to be part of the Sale community, and to welcome our first customers when we open our doors very soon!”

The opening will create 30 new jobs in the local community, including a mixture of team member, team Leader and management roles.
New team members will be provided with training and development opportunities to support their career progression at KFC.
The restaurant will also be actively involved in KFC’s food donation programme, which ensures surplus food is redistributed to people in need across the local community via FareShare.
The restaurant will be run by 1st Rate, a long-standing KFC franchise partner that currently operates 22 restaurants across the North West, and it joins over 36 KFCs serving customers across Greater Manchester.

The region is also home to KFC’s first UK restaurant in Preston, which is still serving fried chicken fans today.
Tom Walkden, Regional Manager at 1st Rate added: “We have a proud history of running KFC restaurants in the North West region, so opening this new KFC in Sale is a really big moment for us.
"Our team has already been working hard to get the restaurant looking tip top, and we’re excited to get behind the fryers and start doing what we do best – serving up the UK’s original fried chicken!”
It is the latest in a series of new KFC restaurant openings in 2025, following the opening of a brand new flagship KFC at London’s The O2 in February.

The company is aiming to open 500 new restaurants across the UK over the next decade, a move set to create more than 20,000 jobs, support local economies and communities.
