Toggo U Very erratic movie, it doesn't give its viewer an idea of what's happening until about 20 minutes in. And from there on it seems to be violence for the sake of violence. Having said that, when I see that some of the official reviewers use words like "military idolatry, female objectification, and a belief that the rich will save us", I have to laugh, as none of the above is true, unless you're looking at it from an extreme ideological lens.Save your self 2 hours you'll never get back and skip this movie. Der abgehalfterte Aufbau mit Wagenrennen und Verfolgungsjagden durch italienische Städte, Timelapses und eisgekühlten Rächern des Bösen mit platter Konversation wird hier in den Mariannengraben getrieben. Die Massen, welche neben dem Bösen ins Jenseits befördert werden, treiben das Gutmenschliche ad absurdum. Regie und Aufnahmefehler runden das ganze ab oder können nur Menschen mit geringem physischem Verständnis als spannend und waghalsig angeboten werden. Ich selbst kann in dem Film auch nicht den Humor erkennen, ihn lauthalslachend als Actionkommödie anzuschauen. Teurer B/C-Movie nach meinem Verständnis, der aber selbst auf dem Niveau nur Langeweile verbreitet.Apart from the fact that film production is always an achievement in itself, there is not much else left. The worn-out structure with chariot races and chases through Italian cities, time-lapses and ice-cold avengers of evil with lame conversation is driven into the Mariana Trench here. The masses that are now being transported to the afterlife alongside the evil drive the do-gooder approach to absurdity. Directing and recording errors round off the whole thing or can only be presented as exciting and daring to people with little physical understanding. I personally cannot see the humor in the film that would make it laugh out loud as an action comedy. An expensive B/C movie in my opinion, but even at this level it only spreads boredom. But I really like the movie. I thought that action sequences were really good. I liked the cast and the chemistry that they had with each other and I loved how they played off of each other. I was really disappointed to find out that there was not going to be a sequel. Why I do understand that the budget was over 100 million to make this movie and the numbers didn’t reach your ship like they wanted and so on, etc. I thought it was a good movie and I’ve watched it probably five times since it’s been out!
